The business opened its doors over six years ago, and has enjoyed successful growth as it continues to deliver exceptional results to our clients.  Long term industry professionals Natalie Brumniach and Karen Sainsbury, co-managing directors of Cornerstone, have an impressive record of event experience under their belts.  Having first worked together at Novotel Twin Waters Resort in the late nineties where they formed a formidable team, they have fulfilled their vision of opening a business together.

Cornerstone are current members of the nationally recognised industry body,  Professional Conference Organisers Association, and are also accredited as a Certified Event Management Company by the PCO Association. Our Managing Director of Operations, Natalie Brumniach has accreditation with the PCO Association and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and Karen Sainsbury, Managing Director of Sales & Development is also an accreditation holder and is additionally one of the national councillors of the PCO Association.  Additionally, as an affiliate of the House of Travel Network, Cornerstone is accredited by IATA and AFTA, a global organisation to ensure customer service and ethics in the travel industry, and the Peak representation body of travel agents in Australia.

Founding Directors Natalie and Karen, have been working together for the past 17 years in the events industry. After countless requests from clients they were inspired to leave their successful Hotel careers and create their own event management company. Cornerstone Events have evolved into a bespoke event agency, partnering with key clients to deliver exceptional event experiences. Natalie is passionate about life and gets the most out of every day and Karen has a love for travel, taste testing vineyards around the world but most importantly spending time with her loved staffies.

Katrina is passionate about delivering the clients vision, ticking all the boxes and seeing the end results. Her experience in the hospitality industry and as a marketing manager has provided her with outstanding customer service skills and has given her a strong attention to detail and a committed loyal approach to all her projects. Katrina loves all things to do with the ocean, you’ll find her on most weekends at the beach with her family. She enjoys a good book, some yoga, and is a little obsessed with all things Outlander.

Danielle has a touch of country in her urban back yard with 3 pet chickens and keeps herself extra busy running after three gorgeous children and baking cakes when she gets the chance.

Ines is a recent graduate of QUT in Journalism and Media and Communications. She is responsible for our digital marketing strategy and executing our clients marketing requirements. Ines is enthusiastic and continuously brings a fresh perspective to the team, she is a keen surfer and has a newfound love for travel.

Multi-award winning Corporate Travel Management specialist, Rebecca, covers all of our travel needs. Beck has over 20 years’ experience in the industry and is AFTA, ATAS and IATA accredited. Beck has a love of family Cruising holidays and a borderline obsession with Cheese and Olives.

Kristie is a qualified CA, and oversees our accounts functionality. She has a strong background in corporate accounting working with companies such as EY and Ricoh. Kristie enjoys leading an active lifestyle with her family and two gorgeous girls.
